Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and his accompanying delegation reviewed the architectural designs, and the timetable for the implementation of the central business district, in the New Administrative Capital, with officials of one of the major consulting places in the world, specializing in the design of buildings and skyscrapers, at the office's headquarters , Chicago, USA.


Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said: There are about 22 global and local consulting offices, which are the best in their specialties, working in the designs of the central business district, in the New Administrative Capital, and a lengthy workshop was held with the head office "WILL + PERKINS", whose officials presented the latest amendments to the general plan. For the area, and it was agreed upon, and the designs of the buildings with its various activities, residential, administrative, commercial and hotel, were presented, which are designed to be smart buildings, taking into account the utmost safety.


The minister explained that the central business district in the New Administrative Capital includes 20 towers, including the highest tower in Africa, with a height of about 385 meters, and the investments of this project are estimated at 3 billion dollars, with a Chinese loan, and it is implemented in cooperation between the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority, And the Chinese company (CSCEC), which is one of the largest contracting companies in the world.


The minister pointed out that the details of the designs for the highest tower to be implemented, and the means of safety in it were presented, noting that the tower includes administrative uses, and has a five-star hotel, hotel apartments, and an annexed commercial area.


During the meeting, the site coordination works in the region in general, and how to rationalize the use of water were discussed, the building finishes were reviewed, and the need to use local building materials in Egypt, such as marble, stones, etc., was also discussed. The detailed timetable for the implementation of the project was presented during a period of 3 Years.


Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, stressed the need for the Central Business District project in the New Administrative Capital to be a distinctive sign that expresses modern Egypt, just as the pyramids express in everyone's mental image the ancient civilization of Egypt.


The Minister of Housing announced that the "WILL + PERKINS" office has designed a number of skyscrapers, and famous buildings, at the level of the United States and the rest of the world, and has 12 branches worldwide, with more than 2,200 engineers, and the Central Business District project in the New Administrative Capital. According to the statements of the office officials, it is one of the largest projects that are implemented in the world, and it has a great priority for them, as it is worked out almost 24 hours ago for the speed of its implementation, because there are more than one office with their branches around the world that works with it, each according to his specialization, and in Consecutive timezones.




Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and his accompanying delegation, which includes Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Deputy Minister for Urban and Informal Planning and Development, Engineer Randa Al-Minshawi, First Deputy Minister, Supervisor of the Minister's Office, Engineer Khaled Abbas, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs, and Engineer Yahya Zaky, Office Manager Dar Al-Handasah Engineering Consultants in Cairo, which undertakes the consultancy work for the project, toured the headquarters of the "WILL + PERKINS" office, during which the project design stages were explained, and a number of other major projects were designed by the office.
